Taste the sea, with a bowl of greens!

First off my name is Vanessa Mora, I am a health nut and dessert lover. My blog will consist of healthy, quick, easy, delicious recipes for an alternative and healthier living style.

Tuna Salad and veggie bowl:

Materials Needed:
  • 1 bag of your choice of salad greens
  • 1 rinsed, fresh carrot
  • 1 rinsed, avocado
  • 1 rinsed, celery stick
  • 1 can of light tuna in water or oil of preferred, but water is better
  • 1 regular sized bowl or medium sized plate to put the end product
  • 1 cutting knife, & 1 cutting board or extra plate to cut the veggies
  • 1 any style peeler to peel the skin off of the veggies
  • 1 fork or spoon, whichever you prefer to scoop out avocado & it's seed
  • 1 tuna can hand or electric opener

Step 1:
Rinse your selected greens and place in bowl

Step 2:
Place the carrot on cutting board or plate. Then use peeler to peel excess skin off of the carrot and use the peeler to make your carrot slices. Once done cut peeled carrots in  halves and place in bowl.

Step 3:
Cut one straight line around the avocado then simply twist the two sides till they split apart. Then use a knife  to cut lines going horizontally  then vertically creating little cubes . Use a spoon or fork to scoop out the cubes and place in the bowl.

Step 4:
Use a knife to cut the top of celery stalk right below the leaves and throw away the leaves. Then use the bottom half and cut into bite size pieces. Then place in bowl.

Step  5:
Finally use tuna can opener hand or electric to open the can of tuna, simply drain out the excess water and pour tuna into the bowl and you're finished, yay!!

Five easy steps to this delicious and healthy meal. Of course if you don't like these specific veggies you can always substitute for ones you like. As far as dressing goes, I don't  usually put any with this type of salad.  But with other salads, my top two favorite dressings to use are ranch and thousand island. :)
